Indian classical dance or ‘Shastriya Devesh’ is an umbrella term for back to Various performance arts rooted in religious Hindu musical theatre styles, whose theory and practice can be traced to the Sanskrit text Natya Shastra. Nritta is the expression of rhythmic movement primarily through use of the hands and feet often in specific poses. Nritya uses gestures and facial expressions to show the poetic or emotional meaning while combining rhythmic gaits and postures.
